Sir Clive Edwards left most of the contents of Milntown House in trust along with the estate, and this included a fine collections of paintings, furniture, ceramics and silver which Sir Clive and Lady Edwards brought with them from their previous home, Hendrefoilan, in Swansea.
The Library houses a large collection of books and magazines associated with Sir Clive’s passion for motor racing, and reference material associated with the Christian Family and the general history of Glen Auldyn is also being collected by the Trust.
This is also an important collection of vintage cars and motor cycles. Two of the cars, a 1900 New Orleans Voiturette and a 1910 Delage open tourer, were left in trust by Sir Clive.
Bob Thomas’s collection was added to the trust on his death in 2003. They include two ABC open two-seater cars from the 1920s and his highly significant collection of 21 vintage motor cycles.
A selection of the cars and motor cycles can be viewed by arrangement. They are all in roadworthy condition and can often be seen at special events on the island.
