The Mill

The Milntown Corn Mill is powered by an overshot water wheel fed by a sluice gate from a mill pond to the south and rear of the building. The mill pond itself is fed by a mill race controlled by another sluice gate from the adjacent Glen Auldyn River. The mill is presently used as a workshop; however, the Trust’s development plans include its restoration for a variety of purposes.

Very recently we have managed to get the Wheel Turning again, pop down and see this piece of history back in action.
